Building a Deliberately Developmental Team
Your team is probably getting better over time, but is it getting better at getting better? What would be possible if you could turn work itself into a developmental experience? Come learn about the real stories, theories, and practices behind one team's attempt to become "deliberately developmental". You will be given an honest look at what it’s like to be on a team like this, why it matters, what it takes to build it, and how your team(s) may benefit from considering some of these concepts.
*The term “deliberately developmental” is from An everyone Culture by Robert Kegan & Lisa Lahey
Speaker:
The City of Boise’s organizational development exists to help its people and organization thrive, this includes training, consulting, well being, leadership development, coaching, and culture work. The team was created in 2016 and has led several organization wide changes focused on integrating growth, development, and well being deeply into the employee experience. They are a group who pride themselves on working as a true team, thinking differently, and viewing work as a place to not only learn and grow, but to become better people.
